Individual Commitments / Compromisos Individuales
These commitments apply to everyone who signs this Covenant, at any stage of engagement.Estos compromisos aplican a todas las personas que firman este Compromiso, en cualquier etapa de participación.
- I offer my presence, gifts, and care — in time, skill, or attention — to the community. Ofrezco mi presencia, dones y cuidado — en tiempo, habilidades o atención — a la comunidad.
- I communicate respectfully and consciously, practicing consent and talking to people rather than about them, even in disagreement. Me comunico con respeto y de manera consciente, practico el consentimiento y hablo directamente con las personas en lugar de hablar sobre ellas, incluso en desacuerdo.
- I respect community agreements, the land, and the cultural practices of this place. Respeto los acuerdos comunitarios, la tierra y las prácticas culturales de este lugar.
- I follow safety protocols in commons spaces and during community activities. Sigo los protocolos de seguridad en los espacios comunes y durante las actividades comunitarias.

DBC Commitments / Compromisos de DBC
As a collective, DBC commits to everyone who signs this Covenant:Como colectiva, DBC se compromete con todas las personas que firman este Compromiso:
- Hold safe, inclusive spaces for learning and participation. Mantenemos espacios seguros e inclusivos para aprender y participar.
- Offer recognition and growth through the Eight Stages of Stewardship. Ofrecemos caminos de reconocimiento y crecimiento a través de las Ocho Etapas de Mayordomía.
- Practice transparency and fairness in decisions and resource use. Practicamos transparencia y equidad en las decisiones y el uso de recursos.
- Listen, adapt, and grow as a community. Escuchamos, nos adaptamos y crecemos como comunidad.
- Support members’ and community projects through our Social Impact Media Team. Apoyamos los proyectos de miembros y comunidad a través de nuestro equipo de Medios de Impacto Social.
Acknowledgment of Rights / Reconocimiento de Derechos
English: I understand that the rights to vote and hold office in the Association are reserved for Active and Founding Members in good standing, as defined in the DBC Constitution. Participation through the Eight Stages of Stewardship is the pathway toward those responsibilities. By agreeing to this Covenant, I do not automatically become a Member, but I commit to walking in alignment with DBC’s values in whatever way is right for me at this time.
Español: Entiendo que los derechos de votar y ocupar cargos en la Asociación están reservados para los Miembros Activos y Fundadores en pleno goce de sus derechos, según la Constitución de DBC. La participación a través de las Ocho Etapas de Mayordomía es el camino hacia esas responsabilidades. Al firmar este Compromiso, no me convierto automáticamente en Miembro, pero me comprometo a caminar en alineación con los valores de DBC de la manera que sea adecuada para mí en este momento.
